Obama issues an executive order sanctioning Russian officials over unproven speculation, NOT proof

President Obama has had a rocky relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin for practically his entire two terms in office. Now, as he prepares to leave the Oval Office, he apparently wants to ensure that the incoming Trump administration’s relationship is every bit as rocky.

That’s the only way to explain why Obama would choose to sanction Moscow now for allegedly hacking into computers at the DNC and the campaign of Hillary Clinton in an attempt to interfere with the U.S. presidential election.

Talk about your tin-foil hat conspiracy theories, this one tops them all.

But nevertheless, since Obama said it happened, it must be true. And so Russia must be punished.

A few weeks ago, Obama issued an executive order that sanctioned Russian intelligence officials, individuals and organizations based on the aforementioned, and as-yet-unproven, hacking allegations. As noted by Breitbart, the action comes as the Obama administration ratchets up the tension between the U.S. and Russia on a number of fronts.

Mind you, presidents can issue executive orders and that makes everything “official.” But Obama’s order offers zero new proof that Moscow did what it is accused of doing—namely, “tampering with, altering, or causing a misappropriation of information with the purpose or effect of interfering with or undermining election processes or institutions.”

In fact, if anything, what Obama is doing is very likely nothing short of engaging in exactly the kind of disinformation campaign he is accusing Putin of engaging in.

Oh, but not to worry. Rather than provide proof of what are some very serious charges, the White House will instead be giving Congress “a report” in the coming days about the alleged election interference, “as well as malicious cyber activity related to our election cycle in previous elections.”

So now we’re also to believe this election tampering is nothing new for Russia.

After Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton lost convincingly to Trump, she and her campaign, along with the Democratic National Committee began to run with the “Russia hacked us” narrative. But the only way that could have happened is if Russia was behind the alleged hacked data that then found its way to WikiLeaks, which steadily released materials damaging to the DNC and the Clinton campaign in the months leading up to the election.

Only, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said the Russians didn’t give him information. In fact, a former British diplomat said he was given the information by a DNC insider upset over the way the party was conspiring against Clinton’s chief party rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

What’s more, Obama has stated there was no evidence of Russian vote tampering.

This is a scam designed to trip up the incoming Trump administration, nothing less. Good thing Putin isn’t falling for it.
